Rotaract club of Cork

Rotaract is an international organisation for adults 18 and 30 who want to make a difference. Rotaract offers social, community, charitable and personal development activities.

It was founded in 1968 by Rotary International, an association of clubs made up of service-minded business and professional leaders. Today there are more than 7,600 Rotary club sponsored Rotaract clubs with some 170,000 members – known as Rotaractors – in over 158 countries. Clubs are either based in the community or in a university. Rotaract clubs enable Rotaractors to grow personally and professionally, address community needs and promote international understanding through friendship and service.

The Rotary Club of Cork is looking to establish a Rotaract club in the community and is looking for active members that will assist us in getting this club started. Other Rotaract clubs exist in Dublin and Galway, so we can immediately tap into existing projects and tried and tested activities. Check out their activities on www.rotaract.ie . Interested? Contact us today. Follow our activities on Facebook and join the group Cork Rotaract.

Rotaract clubs hold meetings, usually every 2 weeks, which feature speakers, discussions and visits to other clubs.
Rotaract activities are chosen by their members, and can include: paint balling, walking, pub crawls, ten pin bowling, weekends away, cinema trips, pub quizzes, meals out, black tie dinners, dry slope skiing, go-carting, indoor climbing, raft races, camping, volunteering, community projects, fundraising, wine tasting, etc. There is something for everyone!

Rotaract is an opportunity to

• Make lots of new friends aged 18 to 30
• Take part in activities you wouldn’t normally get the chance to do
